What is a Graphics card?

Just like everything else electronic, the Graphics Card function is quite complex. The principles of how it works are that the images on your screen (monitor) are made of pixels and thanks to the Graphics card every pixel forms the image that is what we see.

The graphics card provides dedicated processing power to render video stream.

How do I know if its the Graphics Card that’s failing?

  • If you see a distortion in your screen (multi-color or corrupted graphics)
  • Your Apple computer started to crash and overheat.
  • You’ve experienced a few times the kernel panic (this is the action taken by the Operating System upon detecting a fatal internal error whereby your screen goes completely black and then you can see some coding in your screen right after that your Apple Mac will restart on its own).
  • Your Mac no longer turns on.
